When Storm Boy goes walking along the beach or over the sandhills, or in the sanctuary the birds are not afraid. They know he is a friend. He lives with his father, Hideway Tom in a humpy made of brush and wood. One day a group of young pelicans decide to come to visit Storm Boy and Hideaway.
